Mold manufacturing generally have to undergo forging, cutting processing, heat treatment and other processes. In order to ensure the manufacturing quality and reduce the production cost, the materials should have good forging, machinability, hardening, hardenability and grinding, and also have small oxidation, decarbonization sensitivity and quenching deformation tendency. 1. The forging property has the advantages of low heat forging resistance, good plasticity, wide forging temperature range, cold cracking of forging crack and lower tendency of precipitated net carbide. 2. Annealing process, spherical annealing temperature range, low annealing hardness and small fluctuation range, high ball rate. 3. Cutting processing, cutting dosage, tool loss is low, the processing surface roughness is low. 4. Oxidation, decarbonization sensitivity, high temperature oxidation resistance can be good, decarbonization speed is slow, not sensitive to the heating medium, producing a small tendency of pitting. 5. Hardened, with uniform and high surface hardness after quenching.
